Icarus
Icarus is the most famous ancient reference of flight in Greek mythology. Icarus was the son of the master craftsman Daedalus, a famous Greek legend. Daedalus was a talented and remarkable Athenian craftsman. Later, he shifted to Crete with his son Icarus, and became the local inventor for the prosperous King Minos.
Flying machines are generally called Vimanas in the Vedic literature of India. Vimana is a Sanskrit word with many meanings ranging from mythological flying machines to palace or temple. According to Indian mythology Vimana is a chariot or car of the devas or gods, capable of traveling through the air. Vimana flew with the speed of the wind.
Mayan civilization is one of the earliest and greatest civilizations which began around 3000BCE, when the Egyptian, Indian, Chinese, Assyrian and Mesopotamian civilization were emerging. Mayan civilization resided in pre Columbian America, today’s southern Guatemala, Mexico, western Honduras, northern Belize and El Salvador region.
Babylonia civilization existed in southern Mesopotamia, in the East, between Euphrates and Tigris Rivers, capturing approximately 8000 square miles. It was known for supremacy among its neighborhood, as the King of Babylonia destroyed Jerusalem, the capital of Judah Kingdom. Bible mentions Babylonian civilization way back from the Hammurapi time, which is 2000 BC, till the collapse of the Babylon near about 500 BC.
